Miami Made

Located in Miami's diverse neighborhood Little Haiti, FU Art gallery is making a name for itself. Owners Miguel Ullivarri and Valeria Finana have created a gallery experience for accessible art with the concept of a "Neighborhoods Gallery" to the area.

"Miami Made" presents a collective show featuring promising upcoming artists based in MIami. The curation of the show features Paintings, Photos and Illustrations inspired by the unique cultural diversity of Miami.

Artists David Gary Lloyd, Demming Harriman, Ernesto Maranje, Marco Arguello, Marlon Preuss, Nate Dee and Nicole Salgar filled the roster of artists showcasing pieces representing the local talent found right here in Miami.

A Not So Midsummer Nights Dream

Another fabulous collaborative show with &Gallery in Miami. Myself along with artists Peter Symons, Willie Avendano and Gabrielle Baez each interpreted how perception is filtered and the vulnerability of accepting purity in rare forms. The immersive dreamscape features installations, projections and photography to evoke creative worlds for the audience to interact in.

Bijou Bonsai was also on site to showcase their meticulously crafted Bonsai creations.

The exhibition runs through: August 1st - August 21st 2015

A trip to Wonderland

Hares, Bears and Queens, OH MY! Watch out this May for the Miami Gay Mens Chorus as they perform the musical "Alex In Discoland." Thanks again to all the fella's for a great time working with you on the artwork for the show!

New Work - "Ascension"

When we experience the loss of someone so important in our time, we lose a part of ourselves. Similar to that empty feeling of misplacing the last piece of a jigsaw puzzle, our emotional state weakens. But the image we remember, and the traces of that person left behind creates a deeper sense of what love truly is. A power of connection that goes beyond our senses.

This photo-collage is composed in camera by layering crystal glass and vintage stamps. The nostalgic nature of the stamps suggests a yearning for the past and moments we cannot physically have again. Layering crystal objects on top of the subject creates a barrier between our world and an unobtainable world.

Limited Edition of 25 per size. "Ascension" is an Archival Digital Photograph printed on slightly textured fine art paper. Matte Surface. Mounted on archival museum board.

At Home With Artist's

This past weekend I showed artwork at The Home Design & Remolding Show at the Miami Beach Convention Center. The "At Home With Artists" venue was a wonderful platform for local artists to talk about the diverse art districts within Miami and what type of artists you will find around the city. I had a fabulous time representing Wynwood, and talking about all the recent transitions the neighborhood has gone through, and how that has effected the artwork and community.

Art Show From The Future with &Gallery, Little Haiti Miami

What a great way to kick off 2015! &Gallery in Miami invited me to show at their fresh new art gallery in the offbeat neighborhood. It was such a pleasure to be included among other stellar Miami artists including Deming King Harriman, Fernanda Torcida, Willie Avendano and Alex Zastera.

Art Basel 2015 Temporary Showcase with L'Atelier Ldep Gallery

Miami's Art Basel is always a blast! Getting to exhibit with fellow artist and good friend Michael Zimmerer was the cherry on the cake. I had the opportunity to showcase some pieces from my latest series "Icons" with L'Atelier Ldep Fine Art Photography Gallery. Thanks to everyone who was able to make it out for an evening of great art, laughs, and lots of wine!

A Sitting With Artist Jose Felix Perez

Neox Image photographer’s Michelle Citrin and David Lloyd are incredibly inspired by the artists and local personalities of their surrounding Wynwood neighborhood. Therefore, as part of an ongoing project, Neox Image invited local artist and Miami native, Jose Felix Perez into the studio for an intimate and revealing portrait session, capturing the essence of this mild mannered artist.
